Frequently Asked Questions

What Makes Your Photography Different?

  • Equipment: I use Canon full-frame digital SLR cameras. My lens collection consists of L-Series zoom lenses and quality prime glass. Whenever possible, I utilize on-location studio flashes and modifiers for dramatically different lighting effects. I process and present your pictures on the latest Adobe software and Apple devices.
  • Expertise: I have over 14 years of photography background including a four-year photography degree and over a decade of paid professional photographic experience.
  • Process: I only shoot RAW images. These are digital negatives which are processed post-shoot to match the tones and dynamic range of film emulsion. I retouch your favorite images to accentuate your best features and minimize any perceived flaws. Your finished images are professionally printed by a photographic lab and/or delivered via a flash drive or digital download.
  • Prints: I am a full-service photographer, offering everything from small prints to albums, wall art, and more. I can provide traditional prints, as well as metal, canvas, and framed wall art. I also have many album designs to fit your budget and tastes. I work with a select few professional photographic labs in order to deliver the best quality to my customers. My printed products are archival quality and will be treasured by your family for years to come.
  • Professionalism: I strive to deliver the best possible experience to my customers from start to finish. Our relationship begins at our initial consultation so I can provide exactly what you want for your photo session. I try to get to know you so I can bring your style and personality to the finished picture. At any point, I encourage my customers to reach out to me and let me know there thoughts and ideas throughout the creative process. I want you to be absolutely THRILLED with your final images!

What I Expect at the Photo Session?

I will arrive early to scout the location and set up. I will be ready to shoot at the time of your appointment. During the session time I am dedicated to bringing out the best in the location, lighting, posing and composition. However, I try to keep it comfortable and fun in order to make you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

Do I get all the files on a disc?

Portrait sessions include a certain number of retouched, ready to print favorites delivered on flash drive or digital download, along with a copyright release for personal use. Commercial/Event shoots include a commercial use release.

All proofs will be available to view online via my website. You choose your favorite images for your flash drive/package from your online proof gallery.

My portrait package sessions do not include the proofs, but I can include them for an additional fee. All wedding packages include jpeg proofs as well as retouched favorite images.

Can I Make My Own Prints From My Pictures?

Yes! All packages include a flash drive of your favorite images, retouched and ready to print. However, please note that many packages include a print credit to order prints through me, via your online proofing gallery or by appointment.

Prints ordered from me aren't your run-of-the-mill 1-hour photo prints...they are professionally printed in a lab on premium Kodak papers with color correction and a 100% guarantee you'll love the result.

Feel free to order all of your photographic prints through me! I also offer canvas, metal prints, standouts, framing options, custom albums, and many other options to display your favorite portraits.

Don't see it on my website? Please ask! I'm sure I can get you the photo items you want.

What Can I Expect For My Consultation Appointment?

A consultation appointment is the time we set aside to discuss and plan your session. This is usually done 4-6 weeks before a wedding shoot, and 1-2 weeks before a portrait session. This time is important in order to provide your customized photography experience, and to ensure that the finished images is exactly what you envisioned. We will discuss itinerary, location(s), time of day, wardrobe, hair/makeup, groups, posing, style, and everything else we need to discuss to put together your customized shoot.

An in-person consultation is best, but we can also do an appointment over the phone, via email, and even through Skype/FaceTime!
